Brenna grew up in the South Bay with a wine-collecting father and a recipe-collecting mother, so a future in wine, food, and storytelling came naturally — and now shapes her work at Provignage. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in English & Writing from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Brenna honed her hospitality skills working in local tasting rooms before being awarded the Vinous Young Wine Writer Fellowship in 2019 by leading wine critic, Antonio Galloni. She joined Vinous full-time in 2020, contributing coverage of the Sta. Rita Hills, supporting large-scale event production like Vinous Icons and Festa del Barolo, and playing a key role in building the publication’s mapmaking/cartography programs. Her work introduced her to many leading winemakers, including Provignage CEO, Sashi Moorman. Brenna holds her WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and teaches Levels 1 and 2 in downtown Santa Barbara. Outside of wine, she enjoys reading, outrigger canoe paddling, and time well spent with friends.
